CGF Prepared Meals is a fully prepared meal service that offers a variety of entrees, soups, salads, and budget-friendly meals made with locally grown ingredients.

Our menu changes weekly and our meals are available by pick up or delivery for those living in or near Dubuque, IA.

Where are you located?

We are located at Steeple Square: 101 E 15th St. in Dubuque, IA. This location also serves as the pick up site for our Prepared Meals each Wednesday.

How and when do I order?

Accepted Answer

A new menu is posted on our website (https://www.citygirlfarming-dbq.com/meals)each Monday evening. You then have until Saturday at midnight to order. Your meals will be ready on Wednesday of the next week.

Where can I pick up the Prepared Meals?

Meals can be picked up on Wednesdays at 101 E 15th Street (inside Steeple Square). If you are a John Deere or Hirschbach employee, there are also options to pick up at those locations.

How far do you deliver?

We deliver within a 10 mile radius of our location (101 E 15th St. Dubuque, IA 52001).

Do you offer free delivery?

We offer free delivery on orders of $100 or more.

Is this a subscription meal service?

Accepted Answer

No, this is not a subscription meal service. You can order one week, skip the next two, and then order again the following week - or however and whenever you like!

Where do you source your ingredients?

As part of our mission to reconnect food and people, it is important to us to source as many of our ingredients locally as possible. We even have two garden plots of our own!

Do your meals come with nutrition information?

The majority of our meals come with nutritional facts, which can be found on our website in the menu item’s description.

Do you offer any meals that cater to specific dietary preferences?

Accepted Answer

With our menu constantly changing, we cannot cater to specific dietary preferences each week. We do make an effort to offer vegan, vegetarian, keto-friendly, gluten free, and dairy free options often. These preferences will be noted with a green ribbon on the menu item photo or in the item description.

Can the containers the food comes in be returned?

Accepted Answer

The black entree containers and lids can be returned for us to wash, sanitize, and reuse. We strive to make our meal service as sustainable and zero-waste as possible! All other CGF prepared meal packaging can be rinsed and recycled at your home.

Are the food containers microwave or freezer safe?

Accepted Answer

Our black entree containers and lids are BPA free and can be used in both the microwave and the freezer. Our soup containers are are also freezer and microwave friendly. All the other containers are not microwavable.

Can I order meals for someone else?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can order meals to be delivered to someone else’s house - we have had patrons who live out of Dubuque that have ordered for their aging parents, as a gift for someone who just had a baby, or even as a way to say thank you. Healthy, delicious food is the perfect gift!

Do you own your own kitchen space?

Accepted Answer

No, we rent and operate out of Steeple Square's commercial kitchen space, located at 101 E 15th Street.
